Mymms in a spin

North Mymms 186 for 9 off 60 overs
Sawbridgeworth 188 for 3 off 47.2 overs

Mymms skipper, Neil Black, won the toss and had no hesitation in batting. Rhys Wynne and Ed Clements got Mymms off to a confident start notching up 30 runs off 6 overs when Wynne (14) was bowled by Hasantha Fernando. Chris Chellew (1) followed after only 3 balls, being caught behind off the bowling of Donny Miller, an ex-Mymms player.

Clements(43) was supported by Andy Lewis (21) and Rhys Carter (47) and moved the score along rather sedately.

Unfortunately too many others lost their wickets cheaply. Some resistance at the end came from Black, scoring 23 not out.
Mymms reached 186 for 9 wickets off 60 overs. Sawbo spinner, Ryan Cunningham caused the real damage, taking 6 Mymms wickets for 59 off 23 overs.

Veteran Danny Wilson and fifteen year old Charlie Rudkin opened the batting for Sawbo. On a good wicket, they never looked in trouble at all racking up an opening partnership of 132 runs off 37 overs when Rudkin fell for 65. Wilson (63) followed shortly thereafter.

It was then left to Fernando (29no) and Joe Holland (16no) to steer Sawbo to victory off 47.2 overs.

Chris Chellew took 2 for 78 off 18 overs.
